Glenburn Village Opening, 25 Feb 2009 Aspire '08

Guardian at Glenburn Retirement Village was officially opened on the 25th Feb, after 18 months of development. Attendees included the Right Honourable Bob Harvey - Mayor of Waitakere, local kaumatua Pat Heremaia, the Reverend Judy Cooper and other distinguished guests from Guardian Helath Care. Trees Please!  trees were presented to these guests as a "Thank you". Engraved tags marking the occasion were included so that when the trees are planted out, they will be remembered as being part of this special day.

"Aspire '08" was held at the Rutherford Hotel in Nelson on the 25th Septemeber, organised by the Nelson Tasman Chamber of Commerce. Sustainability was the key issue and a number of speakers presented ideas to 120 businesses on how to incorporate credible sustainable practices into their business strategies. Trees Please! trees were used as table decorations and later as prizes to attendees.
